Something about a 2014 Life Raft Deployment Party in District 8

In Sept of 2013 D8 did a test module experiment with expired Life Rafts. It was a hit and they think more demos are being considered for the following year. The plans are being developed but the effort depends on the donations of EXPIRED Life raft product that will be donated to the cause.

This was the test phase...and it was called a party! There was intent to prove anything just an intent to demonstrate how the life raft will function in an emergency. Two out of the 3 expired systems did deploy. One failed to deploy completely but it did demonstrate that ....occasionally things can go poorly.

The folks who put on this event are proud members of District 8 and long time Trawler Travelers who also have a business teaching others to mange vessels and navigate the waters. You mmay have seen there ad in the Ensign.
